Candidates

Minuk Amarasuriya

Although this is my first year as a member of the Tennis Club, I believe that I have gotten involved in all the different events we have run, both social and competitive. I have maintained close relationships with the current committee and have paid close attention to the finer details of running the various different social events. I have been a very enthusiastic member of the LUSL team and have helped the current captains organise teams, trial new players and coordinate match squads. I have had the good fortune of being able to experience a very well organised Tennis Club that offers a social network and the opportunity to hone and deploy one's tennis game against other universities; I would be ever grateful for an opportunity to be a part of the effort to deliver the same experience to the next generation of UCL tennis players.

Throughout my UCL career I have held many committee positions for various societies. I have been the welfare officer, VP and president of Poker society and the VP of the Sports Business Society. As the president of Poker society I organised live inter-uni tournaments with 150 people and I captained the UCL team for the University Poker Tour, which I had to run trials for. Every week for the last 2 years I have organised our weekly poker games which have an attendance from 60-120 people. I believe my experience across different societies and positions makes me a uniquely well qualified candidate to be next years management officer.

Vote Minuk ! :)

Ezatul Syafiqah Mohd Nazri

Hi everyone! My name is Ezatul Syafiqah but most of you probably know me as Iqah. Some of you may know me as one of the LUSL Captains, but for the upcoming academic year I'd like to experience other positions :)

I'm standing for Management Officer because I believe my current position as LUSL Captain has polished my skills as a leader and organiser to contribute my efforts to the tennis club at a larger scale. The opportunity to be part of the committee this year has equipped me with a good understanding of the entirety of the tennis club, observing each role and responsibility through training, tournaments, and social events. I consider myself as an active and dedicated member of the club (I still went for training the same day I got back from a holiday and I have only skipped training once because of a fever :D ). If chosen as Management Officer, I aspire to do my utmost best to ensure the club runs smoothly - but most importantly to ensure that our shared passion for tennis results in a meaningful and memorable year of successful events.

Vote me for Management Officer 24/25 for a structured, organised tennis club!

Thank you!

Quincy Ng

Hi everyone!

I'm Quincy, and I've been in the UCL Tennis society for two years now, having been part of the BUCS M3 team and R&D Coordinator in 2023-24.

Being on the committee and the BUCS team exposed me to a variety of problems and situations, placing me uniquely to advise and arrange solutions for any similar derailments in the following year. As Management Officer, I would oversee the management of BUCS and LUSL teams, arranging for their wants and needs.

By bringing a high standard to the committee next year, I hope to continue and develop the competitive drive that our BUCS and LUSL teams embody, bringing us ever closer to winning our matches!
