Taylor Swift Society : Publicity Officer

They tell you when you're young, girls go out and have your fun and that is exactly what I plan to do by being a part of the Taylor Swift Society Committee next year.

Hi, I'm Anne-Marie, I'm a first year French student and I'm from the North-East of England, near Newcastle (which automatically means I'm a really lovely person!)  The first CD I ever bought at 7 years old was Red (stolen version). and I became hooked. Let's fast forward to 300 takeout coffees later, and I am THE Taylor Swift friend, the designated soldier of The Great War that is buying Eras tour tickets and, whatever the situation, I have a Taylor song for it. On my trip to the US, I was Welcomed to New York, and got to walk Cornelia Street, listening to Cornelia Street, (and annoyed everyone about it for the rest of the trip).

On a technical note, being the designated photographer friend, I am an extremely creative person. Last year I created and photographed a design I produced and also created a magazine spread using the photos. Like most peoples', my time is far too high, so I'm very familiar with different features of various social media platforms, so I can post content and respond to people's questions effectively. I'm completely obsessed with using Canva to make anything so I guarantee I'll make gorgeous content. 

Long story short, I'm grateful to have grown up in a world with Taylor Swift in it, or, The World: Taylor's Version, and I would love to be a part of the growing community of Swifties at UCL.

I have been the biggest fan of Taylor Swift and imagine my excitement when I found out about the Taylor Swift Society at UCL! I mean, talk about a dream come true! I am eager to bring my passion for Swift's music and my experience in publicity to this society. Having managed social media accounts in high school, including initiatives to raise awareness of mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic and another social media account to promote my high school graduates, I am well-versed in engaging online audiences. Additionally, I was a university counselor assistant involved in organizing promotional campaigns for IB programs, where I honed my skills in multimedia marketing, including YouTube video production and designing compelling promotional materials. I am excited to apply these experiences to promote the Taylor Swift society, using digital platforms to enhance its visibility and appeal to prospective members NEW SWIFTIES! I'm excited to bring my skills and creativity to the Taylor Swift society. I'm all about using digital platforms to make things unique and draw attention in the crowds. So, I hope I can be a part of the team and shake the new academic year off right!
