As the event officer of the Taiwanese Society, my role is centred around fostering community, creating memorable experience, and promoting cultural exchange. This role has provided invaluable opportunities for event planning, ensuring smooth execution while prioritizing the enjoyment of all participants.

Reflecting on my journey as a committee member, I recognize the significance of each event in shaping the society’s identity and fostering a sense of belonging among members. From planning proposals to addressing unforeseen challenges, I have honed skills in adaptability, problem-solving, and effective communication, reinforcing my dedication to providing enriching experiences.

Over the past two years, my involvement in numerous events has deepened my understanding of leadership, affirming my eagerness to devote myself to the society. I desire to share my culture and create a sense of home for students at UCL. Participating in the Taiwanese Society has not only equipped me with the skills necessary for effective leadership but has also instilled a sense of purpose and fulfillment.

Looking ahead, my candidacy for the presidency represents a natural progression in my journey of service and dedication to the Taiwanese Society. Drawing upon my experiences, I am confident in leading with integrity, compassion, and a firm commitment to shared goals. As president, I aspire to continue fostering a vibrant and inclusive community where every member feels valued, heard, and supported.
