Taekwondo Club: Treasurer

I believe the role of treasurer to Taekwondo is extremely crucial to ensure that our club is affordable and accessible to all alongside having access to quality coaching and access to competition entries. I believe my background in finance equips me with the necessary skills to excel in this role. By taking on business management as part of my IB studies as well as a brief financial literacy course, I was equipped with a solid understanding of budgeting and keeping records of income and expenditure as well as the fundamental skills required to work with Microsoft Excel. As a result I am confident in my ability to manage the club's finances effectively. I am detail-oriented and organized, ensuring that every financial transaction is recorded accurately and transparently to ensure our finances are taken care of. Furthermore, through my experiences as a First-Aid and Student mentor team leader, I have become a collaborative leader who values open communication and teamwork. I believe this is crucial as a member of the administrative trifecta to ensure that all financial requirements of the team are met and all aspects of the team are sufficiently supported from supporting the kit secretory in handling kit orders to handling financial paperwork with the president. In conclusion, my confidence in my financial ability and collaborative working style makes me a suitable candidate. If elected, I will dedicate myself to serving our financial needs with diligence and commitment.

Since my first training session here, I have felt a sudden connection with this group of lovely people which drives my desire to serve as your treasurer. :)

With my background in economics and statistics (possible finance bro in the future) coupled with a family lineage of accountants, I bring a unique blend of good theoretical knowledge and practical expertise to the role.

I have witnessed the hard work and dedication of our current committee, and I am inspired to continue upholding the standard they have set. With meticulous attention to detail, I am confident in my ability to maintain transparency and accountability in our club’s finances, meaning your money will always be safe!
