Krishna Wijayasingam

Every moment here has been a pleasure. I cherish the lifelong friendships I've made and the diverse, inspiring community. UCL Taekwondo is very special to me, and I'd be honoured to be president. I'm committed to preserving our vibrant, supportive atmosphere and nurturing our sense of family. I'm passionate about our club, confident in leading, and ready to tackle challenges. If elected, I pledge to listen to everyone and uphold our club's wholesome and competitive spirit. Thank you!

Valentina Hussein

After being warmly welcomed into UCL Taekwondo, I aim to play a bigger role beyond membership. While the leap to president may seem significant, rest assured, I wouldn't step forward without the necessary confidence and experience.

In terms of commitment, I've attended various sessions, including double sparring, extras, and ITF. This involvement has allowed me to become acquainted not only with individuals across various class levels but also with different facets of Taekwondo that were previously unfamiliar to me (the sparring mandem). As president, I believe in immersing oneself in all aspects of the club for effective communication.

During high school, I served as a board member in an organization for a few years, managing administrative tasks; coordinating communications between students and headteachers; overseeing activities; HR, making me an Excel baddie. Collaborating on projects with others is a strength of mine, as I am committed to seeing tasks through to completion and maximizing their potential. Thus, I'm ready to support fellow committee members in their individual projects if needed.

Compatibility within the committee is also crucial, especially with the general secretary and treasurer. Though roles are undecided, ongoing discussions have fostered confidence in potential peers.

Looking forward, I'm excited to enhance our visual content and diversify events. Taking on the role of president would best enable me to ensure the realization of both these objectives.
