Being a welfare officer for the UCL homelessness society is more than just a role, it is a chance to lead big changes and make sure everyone in the community feels safe, respected, and supported. If I were to be the welfare officer , I would be at the forefront of making the ucl homelessness society welcoming and caring. My dedication would not only meet immediate needs but it would also help build society where everyone, no matter what their situation and background can find comfort and support and feel safe in this society. Taking on this role for me means I want to be the one to bring about good change and speak up for those who need it the most. I have a strong sense of understanding and a strong desire to break down the stigma surrounding mental health problems. This isnt just a role, but its a chance for me to put  my own story of strength into the fabric of a community, making it more open and making sure no one feels alone in their battle. I want to be part of the committee in this society where i can contribute to a good cause and make sure everyone feels welcome, supported and heard and to always spread kindness wherever i go.
