Dancing in the Salsa team is the best decision I have made since coming to university.

Having thrown myself wholeheartedly into training throughout the year (and literally being thrown into the air), I want to champion the next team to thrive as performers and teammates as much as we have.

My recent experience in the inter-university competition allowed me to embrace the excitement and stress that comes with taking your skills to a higher level. I want to support the team through challenging moments and most importantly foster team spirit so that we are constantly inspiring and pushing one another to give it our all.

I recognise that clear communication is essential to guiding the team. I will work closely with the choreographer to structure engaging weekly training sessions, motivating everyone with a positive attitude. Safety and wellbeing is my priority in all spaces and I will regularly check in with my teammates. I have learnt to be adaptable and will support members with change through a clear documentation process of the choreography. By organising room bookings and planning trip logistics with the Performance Coordinator, we will be ready to show off a piece that we are proud of to everyone.

I would love to lead our Salsa team to a win, it’s gonna be so much fun !
