RUMS Society: Treasurer

Hi, I’m Sneha and I am honoured to put myself forward for the role of Treasurer. Over the past two years, RUMS has been an integral part of my life and now I am keen to give back through a more active role. With a background in handling finances, I believe I have what it takes to excel as Treasurer.

RUMS Operations and finance subcommittee: My involvement has provided me with valuable insight into the workings of RUMS, particularly in managing finances. I also have experience obtaining sponsors. 

Receptionist: I managed emails and collaborated with doctors and patients to ensure the practice ran smoothly each day. This also involved the important role of organising documents and ensuring finances were accurate- a vital responsibility as Treasurer.

Advisory group: This has taught me the importance of effective communication, necessary when collaborating with sponsors and voicing feedback to UCLMS.

If elected as Treasurer, I aim to:

-Enhance/maintain communication: maintain consistent communication with sponsors, the wider RUMS community, as well as members of the subcommittee, to ensure everyone is informed.

-Promote cost-effective events: I will explore ways to reduce event costs and lower prices, making RUMS events more affordable.

-Maximise sponsorship opportunities: I will actively seek sponsorship opportunities to increase funding for RUMS activities and will work with the RUMS Networks to foster inclusivity.
