It is a privilege for me to be nominated for the Welfare Officer position as a longtime member of UCL's Real Estate Society. I have had a long-standing interest in the welfare of the people in our society, and I'm determined to make sure that each and every one of them feels encouraged and respected.

My active participation and regular attendance at society events demonstrate my commitment to the Real Estate Society. I have enthusiastically participated in a variety of events aimed at building a sense of community and offering our members priceless learning opportunities, from workshops and guest speaker sessions to networking functions and social gatherings.

In addition, my experiences outside of society—such as internships at Ultra Estates in London and Berkeley Engineering Consultancy in Saudi Arabia—have given me invaluable problem-solving, empathy, and communication skills—all of which are critical for a welfare officer. Through these positions, I have gained a thorough understanding of project management and client relationship management, which has improved my capacity to assist and represent the interests of the people who make up our society.

Should I be chosen to serve as Welfare Officer, I pledge to carry out programs that put our members' physical, mental, and emotional health first. This entails setting up support networks, encouraging candid and inclusive conversations about mental health and wellness, and offering aid and resources to individuals who require them. In addition, I will collaborate closely
