As a passionate person of photography, I began exploring the boundaries of photography during my secondary school years. This brings me rich spiritual joy and allows me to explore the complexities of society and human nature through my lens, showing the overlooked details of cities and nature. I won no less than six photography contests in high school and was president of the photography club. Inspiring people through photography and the visual arts is my speciality, and it's what I've always strived for through photography. Hangzhou, my hometown, is a city steeped in culture. I often walk through its galleries to experience curators discussing the diversity of history and culture through the selection of exhibits. When I came to London, I was equally passionate about the exhibition. I often visit Tate Modern, Photographers Gallery, and others, the heart of my ongoing learning about cutting-edge artistic displays and articulating their ambitions. For me, the presentation of photography and artwork is a way to inspire people to think about current social issues and discover alternative perspectives. A successful exhibition will give people plenty of room for conversation and discussion, which is what I have always wanted to do and worked towards. If you agree with me, please vote for me!

As a visual designer with three years of experience at a leading company and a solid educational background from the Central Academy of Fine Arts, I am thrilled to apply for the Exhibition Officer role at the UCL Photography Society. My blend of professional and academic experiences in Melbourne and London has equipped me with innovative approaches to visual design and spatial presentation, particularly within the context of exhibitions.
My involvement in art and film festivals, along with my work on spatial designs for fashion photography, has honed my skills in creating engaging and immersive exhibition experiences. I aim to bring this expertise to the UCL Photography Society, leveraging modern design techniques to craft exhibitions that not only showcase photographic art but also foster deep audience engagement with the narratives behind the images.
I am committed to pushing the boundaries of traditional exhibition formats by introducing innovative interaction, enhancing the immersive society's exhibitions' appeal, the quality of the stories behind the pieces. I believe my fresh perspectives will contribute to the appreciation and exchange of photographic art within society.
I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to contribute to a new chapter of memorable exhibitions at the UCL Photography Society, aiming to turn our works into a focal point on and off campus with your support and trust.
