Bishwot Kharel

Being born and having lived in Nepal for most of my life, I come to you with a suitcase full of experiences, and stories of our shared culture. As I step forward to apply for this position, I'm eager to unfold this suitcase, sharing its contents to enrich our collective journey. Joining this society isn't just a role for me; it's a mission to weave a piece of home into our lives here. My vision is to transform our society into a vibrant community space where everyone can celebrate, share, and immerse in our rich culture.

My Professional experiences has perfectly primed me to be our society's treasurer. Crunching numbers at an accounting firm really sharpened my skills in managing funds and making sure every penny counts and is spent wisely. Plus, my time interning at the Embassy of Nepal in Dhaka was an eye-opener. It gave me a real inside look at our Nepalese community abroad and the importance of fostering a sense of community. During my time at the Embassy, I worked alongside Nepali diplomats to execute cultural programs, National Day events, and various outreach initiatives aimed at uniting the Nepalese community, including expats and students.

I'm excited about the opportunity to contribute to our society, blending my cultural insights and financial management skills to serve the society better.Looking forward to the possibility of working together to make our Nepalese Society even more vibrant.
