Multicultural Society: Welfare Officer

Having lived in vastly different cultures including the Chinese, American, British, and the French, I understand completely both the thrill and the challenges in inter-cultural experiences. I have channeled my love for talking to people from different cultural backgrounds into a podcast, where I record all the fascinating conversations I had with multicultural people I met in Paris.

I'm not only passionate about the theme of the society, but also ready to help build an inclusive community where different cultures are heard, respected, and bridged with one-another.

If I’m elected as the Welfare Officer, I hope to…

• work with everyone in the society to create our ‘welfare ground-rules’ and make sure everyone’s expectations and needs are respected.
• create individual feedback channels to ensure that the committee is on track with what the members are thinking and feeling.
• support the committee to run events that are empathetic and inclusive of different views.
