Grace Rachel Humphreys

The interface of technological advancement and biomedical research is the future of sustainable healthcare. I care deeply about sharing my enthusiasm for the world of MedTech with people of all identities. And as an almost third-year Medical Sciences and Engineering student, I have a strong and suitable background to be the next President of UCL MedTech. This insight is greatly enhanced by my experience.

Serving the society as a D&I in MedTech Executive this year, I know what it takes to develop and run our high-impact events. I was involved at every stage of the establishment of our “D&I in MedTech Conference” and therefore appreciate the logistics involved for committee members in making such an occasion succeed. From this, and my general involvement with the society, I am confident that I can build upon the fantastic work we have done to date.

This year I also worked as Vice-President of UCL Science Magazine to oversee its subcommittees, ensuring sustainable workflows were in place, and to improve their outreach. I am eager to apply what I learned from this to ensure the continuing success of UCL MedTech.

I pride myself on my proactivity, organisation, and problem-solving skills. As your next President, I will dedicate myself to ensuring the full potential of our society is realised with every voice heard. I promise to guide and support the new committee to achieve meaningful outputs that build our community and inspire our members, the wider UCL community, and beyond.
