Lauren Wang

I am an organized and responsible person with whimsical ideas. I have a passion to plan out things either for personal development or just entertainment. It is a satisfaction to me that I could help out the society carry out smoothly different events around the year. As the former president of my high school’s First-aid club, I had many experiences in planning out events. I have organized volunteering teaching sessions to teach first aid. During planning such events, I had to pay much attention to detail, such as time schedules, finding right and appropriate resources and also creating engaging ways so that the event come out fun and informed. In extending this passion to the MPBE society, I am eager to contribute my organized approach coupled with my whimsical ideas, to help elevate the overall experience for society members.

My experience as a volunteer in a bookshop help me deepen my collaboration skills which demonstrate my ability to actively listen, effectively communicate, and adapt to various responsibilities. This way the team will run smoothly as we effectively share our unique point of view and work efficiently.

If elected, I am committed to provide the best events. Whether it is socials with pizza or it is talks or careers panels, I am confident that my previous experience, my good teamwork skills, my flexible abilities as well as my passion for planning will contribute to a year of vibrant and diverse events.
