What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?
Danilo: I have been on the LGBTQ+ committee since 2020 and Social Sec this year, putting on 3+ events every week. I was also previously co Disabled Students Officer. I am also creating an A+H LGBTQ+ Network and LGBTQ+ Volunteering project in the SU, and I have many links to other societies and organisations (such as the THT)
Anji: I am the Trans Officer and I've organised Middlesex Pride with 600+ tickets sold. I have extensive public speaking experience, such as at UUK's tackling hate incidents conference, and I have good links with organisations like Just Like Us and Gendered Intelligence.
What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?
1.) Properly integrate the Trans and LGBTQ+ Networks and promote them well
2.) Increase awareness of LGBTQ+ inclusion working groups (such as EDIC and LESG) and organisations to help LGBTQ+ members in UCL
3.) Implement regular talks from speakers outside UCL
4.) Push the SU to evaluate Report + Support services
5.) Ensure that the amount of events that were hosted this year are continued next year
6.) Organise more "High profile events"
7.) Create a LGBTQ+ UCL Alumni group so that they can keep connected to UCL
8.) Increase training in UCL to support LGBTQ+ students and staff

Please summarise why students should vote for you.
We both have extensive knowledge and experience in both the LGBTQ+ Network and the UCL Student Union, and with this experience and our contacts and hard work, we can ensure that we will help make the LGBTQ+ Network as amazing as possible and the experience for LGBTQ+ students better and give them opportunities to thrive, connect and develop. Being LGBTQ+ in a society that's been built up for cis-het people can be difficult, but it should not have to be. We will work hard, listen to our members and do all that we can to make sure queer people feel safe, happy and supported at UCL.
