Ziad Raad

Running for the Lebanese Society Treasurer position is not just a pursuit of a title; it's a dedication to the community that has become an integral part of my university experience.

As a first year student, and having spent my entire life in Lebanon, the Lebanese Society was the first I sought. Attending every initiative has given me a nuanced understanding of our community's needs and aspirations. If entrusted with the role of treasurer, I am committed to utilizing my financial expertise to ensure responsible budgeting, maximizing the impact of our events, and fostering an environment of fiscal transparency.

My academic background in History, Politics, and Economics gives me a unique interdisciplinary perspective. Moreover, my previous experience as a treasurer in clubs and societies underscores my commitment to transparent and accountable financial practices.

I pledge to give the Lebanese Society the time and attention it deserves. As a treasurer, I will not just fulfill duties; I will actively contribute to the society's success.

I am not merely a candidate; I am a dedicated member who’s prepared to give my all to ensure the society reaches new heights, strengthening our community while making it more vibrant and keeping it financially sound (unlike our actual country).

Your trust in me will not be taken lightly. I am excited about the prospect of serving as your treasurer and contributing significantly to the Lebanese Society's continued growth.

Elsa Braidi

My decision to put myself forward for this role stems from a deeply rooted commitment to both the Lebanese community and the academic environment we thrive in. I believe I am suited for this role for multiple reasons:

1- Financial management skills: I possess the necessary skills to effectively manage the finances of the society. Whether it's creating budgets or tracking expenses, I am confident in my ability to handle the responsibilities of the treasurer role.

2- Organizational experience: I have a proven track record of successful organizational involvement, having been the social secretary of the society this year. This experience has equipped me with the organizational skills needed to coordinate events and manage resources efficiently.

3- Commitment to the Lebanese society: As a proud member of the Lebanese community, I am deeply committed to promoting our culture, traditions, and values within the university campus. Serving as Treasurer would allow me to contribute actively to the growth and development of the Lebanese Society, ensuring that it remains a vibrant and inclusive hub for Lebanese students.
