Irish and Northern Irish Society: President

Irish Soc was the first society I joined at university and undoubtedly the most impactful in my first year. I am proud of my Irish upbringing and increasingly proud of the ways in which I can weave it into my experience of London as a young adult. We have a rich and growing Irish community composed of international students and diaspora at UCL, and my goal would be to ensure we all remain connected to our shared heritage and engage with those who have an interest in our amazing culture. I would achieve this through social events, watchalongs of national sporting events, and hopefully a continuation of the Irish dancing classes that have seen success over the last couple of years. I would also hope to introduce some of our more inexperienced members to the Gaelic games I grew up with at the London GAA stadium during the league season.
