Indian Society: Marketing Officer

Hi everyone!

I’m Breezy, a first-year Economics student, and I am excited to be applying for Marketing Officer. I have enjoyed being a part of Indian Society because of the solid sense of community within and the amazing events the society holds. 

Marketing is an integral part of events, like Jashn and Dhamaal, because I understand that strong marketing of such events is essential for success. Being managing director of my Young Enterprise team, I have refined my skills of marketing by promoting a new product on instagram, creating a website and pitching to investors, as well as selling to the general public. These strengths will allow me to advertise Indian Society events and spread awareness effectively so that we have strong engagement from everyone in the Society and beyond. I am a strong team player and can also work well with other teams within the society. Having skills in various design softwares and marketing platforms, combined with my creativity, I believe I can create attractive and engaging marketing. 

With my skills of organisation and communication, I am confident that as Marketing Officer I will be able to contribute to the success of bigger and better events for UCL Indian Society.

As a candidate for the Marketing Officer position in Indian Society, I am eager to utilise my extensive experience in social media management and content creation to effectively promote our events and activities. My involvement in various high school clubs' social media teams, coupled with my proficiency in poster creation and video editing, has equipped me with the necessary skills to excel in this role.

Throughout high school, I actively contributed to the social media teams of several clubs, where I gained hands-on experience in managing various platforms and creating engaging content. Whether it was promoting club events, sharing informative posts, or showcasing our activities, I consistently demonstrated my ability to effectively communicate our message to our audience.

In addition, my expertise in poster creation using platforms like Canva and video editing skills with iMovie and Filmora will be invaluable in designing and producing promotional material for all our events across multiple platforms. I understand the importance of visual appeal in capturing the attention of our audience and conveying information effectively. Furthermore, my strong organisational skills and ability to manage time efficiently will ensure that I keep on top of posts and deliver content in a timely manner.
