Wardah Kharas

Hi everyone,

My name is Wardah and I am a third year- studying Population Health Sciences. Over the course of my degree, I have learnt a lot about health issues pertaining children and have taken electives that have deepened my interest and understanding of children's health and rights. With my interest and passion being in supporting children to excel and live healthier lives, I believe that this role will enable me to make a difference to both the society and children worldwide. This position, as a social media officer, will allow me to channel my passion into creating engaging and impactful content that will entice others to join this society.I also hope to create content that will raise awareness about the challenges children are facing worldwide.

With your support, I believe that we create content that will inspire positive changes and create brighter futures for children around the world.

Thank you for reading my manifesto!!

Blanche Hang

I am a second year Global Humanitarian Studies student, and the current social media officer.

I would like to nominate myself as next year's social media officer, since I am quite familiar with the role and find it interesting.

As I study humanitarian-related subjects, I have a great passion for issues related to humanitarian work, such as child welfare, education, and the rights of children and vulnerable groups. I have a strong desire to contribute to these causes and make a positive impact on the lives of children and vulnerable groups.

As for this position, I believe that social media is a powerful tool for disseminating information and updates on humanitarian crises and relief efforts. I intend to use my knowledge to ensure that accurate and relevant information is shared with the public.

During this year's fundraising events, I found that many students were not aware of the main thrust of UNICEF and the contributions that the organisation has made, so I hope to be able to introduce more ongoing issues such as video interviews or stories behind UNICEF on, for example, Instagram, in order to give people a better understanding of how NGOs work.
