Hi I’m Aurora! The reason I’m standing for fundraising officer is because I’ve have lots of experience fundraising for my school and my local youth council. I was at the forefront of brainstorming events and setting ambitious targets. One of our most successful campaigns was hosting a ticketed quiz night where all proceeds went to the mental health charity MIND. 

I participated in the term 1 bake sale, which brought back my passion for fundraising. If I were fundraising officer, some fresh ideas I’d like to bring to the society would be game nights, quiz nights, collaborations with sports societies ect. My aim will be to generate enthusiasm around the society by planning exciting fundraising events and hitting ambitious targets.

Sasha O'Brien

Hi everyone! :) My name is Sasha, I’m a second-year student studying Arts & Sciences with a focus on Psychology and Migration Studies. I am also half Peruvian/half British but lived in Germany my whole life. I've been part of the committee as a Social Media Officer in the In Aid of UNICEF society and would love to be Fundraising Officer next year! <3

As the Fundraising Officer I hope to motivate members to remember the very heart of our society: advocating and fundraising to support every child in need. Organising events and actions to raise as much money as possible for children is the core of our interest, I hope to motivate our members to be involved as much as possible, through bake sales, sports events and fun socials. I intend to run fundraisers according to causes within UNICEF that our members are passionate about.

Having previous work experience in event organisation within a refugee shelter I volunteered in, I hope to transfer these skills to organise fundraisers efficiently and increase funds for UNICEF!
