In Aid of UNICEF Society: External Relations Officer

Hello everyone, I'm Yasmine! I am wholeheartedly drawn to the opportunity to serve as an external relations officer within the In Aid of UNICEF Society. My passion for humanitarian work, particularly in advocating for the rights and welfare of children, has been a driving force throughout my life. 

One significant highlight was when I took the initiative to organise an online fundraiser in Algeria to support children in the communities affected by devastating wildfires. I engaged in a multifaceted role, from promoting the event to managing all the details. I reached out to local NGOs, fostering collaborations to amplify the impact, and used my communication skills to effectively promote the fundraiser across various social media platforms. I worked with Sidra Algérie, an Algerian NGO, to plan special events for the kids facing these hardships. Together, we were able to donated toys and organised fun games to lift their spirits. Witnessing the success of the initiative was not only gratifying but reaffirmed my belief in the power of collective action to effect positive change.

Through this experience, I gained invaluable insights in effective communication and the significance of building strong partnerships to drive humanitarian efforts forward. My aspiration to serve as an external relations officer stems from a desire to channel my passion, skills, and experiences into a role where I can contribute meaningfully to the society.
