Aaditya Kumar

During the summer holidays, I interned at a marketing agency (GOIP Aula) where I had the opportunity to work closely with clients and negotiate partnerships. This experience equipped me with valuable skills in communication, negotiation, and contract management, which are essential for liaising with businesses and drawing up contractual agreements as a sponsorship officer.

In addition to my internship experience, I was also heavily involved in organising fundraising events for a local charity during high school. This experience taught me the importance of building and maintaining relationships with sponsors and charities to ensure that all contractual agreements are upheld throughout the year. I understand the significance of honouring commitments and will work diligently to ensure that our sponsors receive the recognition and support they deserve.

Furthermore, my involvement in extracurricular activities such as debate club and student council has honed my communication and leadership skills, which will be invaluable in liaising with sponsors and representing the Hindu Society effectively.

Taaj Ojha

Hey everyone! I’m Taaj, and I am running to be Sponsorship Officer.

Hindu Society has been one of the most welcoming societies, and I have always felt a connection with the society and its members. My first interaction was at the sports social where I felt a sense of belonging and really enjoyed getting to know everyone. Through events like Garba and Diwali Ball, not only did I understand the importance of the society in bringing the community together and celebrating our culture, but I also appreciated the effort put in by the committee in bringing these cultural experiences to life. This is something I also want to contribute to and as your Sponsorship Officer, I will ensure that you also experience the enjoyment I felt in these events.

Being part of a local Nepalese charity, I have experience in fundraising and coordination to lead community events, from working with Nepali artists for performances in the UK, to organising the annual Nepali New Year, Dashain and Diwali functions. This has allowed me to hone my communication and negotiation skills to ensure successful collaboration with the various parties involved. It has also fueled my commitment to community engagement and passion for coordinating flagship events.

Combining my cultural engagement and community-focused initiatives, I will work tirelessly to secure significant sponsorships and elevate Hindu Society's external funding. Let's create a memorable experience for every member to make next year unforgettable!
