Hi! My name is Rishita, a first year medical student who is running for this year’s Hindu Society’s General Secretary. I am a friendly and passionate individual who wants to make a considerable impact to the strong community of Hsoc.

After having the exciting opportunity of being a first year representative, I’ve made lifelong friendships and hope to make even more through this role. I’ve seen the planning and organisation that goes behind the incredible events this society has to offer, such as Diwali Ball and Rangeela. I am thrilled at the prospect of having an important role in the execution of one of UCL’s most diverse cultural showcases, encourage future South Indian representation, and hopefully make Rangeela and other events as successful and enjoyable as they were this year.

I am an extremely organised and precise individual who understands the importance of being a dedicated team player. I strongly believe I will work and communicate well with others to continue to deliver events at a high standard, and ensure we cater to your needs.

My current journey with UCL’s Hindu society has been a memorable one, and I hope I will be able to use the knowledge I have gained this year to ensure people have an unforgettable experience, just like I’ve had with Hsoc so far. I am thankful for the opportunity of being considered for this role, and hope I can continue my journey with this community through the role of General Secretary.
