Hindu Society: Executive Director

Hi, my name is Ash Padiyar and I am a first-year Medical student from Bucks. I am running for Executive Director of UCL Hindu Society 2024/25. After being a first year representative for Hindu society 23/24.  

I have learnt about running events and working as a team with functions like Rangeela and Diwali ball. I have enjoyed being a part of the committee and hope to be a part of the core committee next year since the experiences I have gained have allowed me to become more in touch with my own culture. Not only have I worked well as an FYR, I have also immersed myself in what Hsoc has to offer including Rangeela Fashion and committee performances.  

My vision for next year is to ensure there are more Hsoc socials especially for freshers, collaborating with other societies and perhaps other universities to create a friendly and vibrant community. I am so happy to have this opportunity and hope that I can make next year even better!
