Greenough Society: Treasurer

As a current freshers representative, I have the opportunity to be part of the behind-the-scenes of how the club runs. Throughout these past few months of being part of the society, I got to assist in organising events and experience what it's like to run and lead socials. Now I would like to challenge myself and be more involved in the club by taking on a heavier role that has more responsibilities and more input on the club.  

As a Treasurer,  I will be responsible for handling the funds for running the events you love to see happen and making them more accessible. I believe my existing knowledge and experience in Greenough as well as having good management and organisational skills will allow me to make financial decisions, and delegate funds more efficiently. 

As a nominee for Greenough Treasurer, my goals for the year include:   

• Researching new ways to attract more participants by making events more accessible from a financial perspective 
• Providing more perks for members such as partially subsidising travel/food fees for potential trips
• Creating a balanced budget proposal for introducing more socials/ field trips for the society 
• Cutting event costs and making tickets less expensive   
• Coming up with strategies to increase funds such as selling merch to allow the society to run a wider variety of events
