Seyi Ajibola

He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “Do you love Me?” And he said to Him, “Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.” Jesus said to him, “Feed My sheep.“

VOCE is a society that I have cherished dearly coming to university this year and I would consider it a privilege to work within the VOCE committee to aid in continuing the growth of the society.

VOCE would not be able to stand without the collaboration of its members and as Vice President I would make it my aim to not only actively listen to all members but to also observe how well the society is running and strive to resolve to any issues. I would like to play a role in ensuring events take place and in cultivating an environment where people feel welcomed and have fun.

I hope that VOCE will continue to be a society where we can all grow in faith, love and joy, and ultimately God will be glorified in all that we do!

Thank you :)

Sope Owojaiye

Five months ago, I had no idea how meaningful this society would become to me and its impact on my life. As a result, there is no other society that I would rather be on the committee for, and at the heart of this sentiment are the members themselves. When it comes to our community, it is truly a case of ‘iron sharpening iron’ and each week I feel challenged to grow; from somehow singing a solo in under a month post joining choir, to being a part of enlightening discussions at Bible Study.

So, the opportunity to advocate for you all and usher in a new chapter, within a committee of individuals who I already admire, excites me. I hope to fill this chapter with more opportunities for us to engage with one another- utilising communal Bible plans and a wider variety of events- and of course, the friendship and love that already runs deep within VOCE. Knowing that VOCE is a combination of my two favourite things: God and music, I believe that my passion and dedication to both aspects of VOCE will equip me to fulfil this role diligently and inclusive of all members. I look forward to making more connections within VOCE as Vice President and bringing both your and my innovative ideas to life!

To conclude, it would be my honour for you to entrust me to undertake this position of leadership and responsibility and serve you all as your Vice President as we all strive to honour the Lord together.
