Free Hype Society: Welfare Officer

Hello! I am Yasmin. With the restarting of Free Hype, and as current Welfare Officer, I have really enjoyed helping rebuild this community into a space where aspiring creatives can unite and work together in a meaningful way, and I hope to continue doing so for the next academic year.

I believe that a thriving community is built on the foundation of the well-being of its members. My experience offers me the important insight to be a successful Welfare Officer and address diverse needs. I am aware of the necessity of creating a safe space for individuals, and implementing initiatives that allow accessibility and inclusivity. I will prioritise the wellbeing of all members, and help establish a supportive network that facilitates a positive environment both within our society, and UCL as a whole. Communication and enthusiasm are undeniably essential parts in the role and I would ensure this smooth coordination with the committee.
