Hi, my name is Ingrid Chan, and I am a penultimate Social and Political Studies student. I am the current Head of Research of the ESG society, and I would love to continue serving in this role and promoting stronger awareness towards ESG.
My experience has equipped me with the necessary skills to oversee and run the journal, such as organisation and time-management skills, as well as the ability to choose editors and delegate tasks efficiently. Alongside my role as the editor-in-chief of the EISPS Society Journal, this role has honed my editing and writing skills, while helping me develop leadership and negotiation skills. I believe that I can continue to contribute towards and expand the journal, as I am very creative and open to new ideas.
In the coming year, I hope to:
- Integrate the journal within the society (e.g. articles relating to events)
- Expand the journal’s reach (e.g. via Linkedin, collaboration with other society journals)
- Conduct more interviews
- Focus on more career-oriented articles/advice columns
- Create more opportunities for audience input/guest articles
- Promote socials for editors and writers
