Environmental Law and Life Science Society: President

Hi, my name is Jade and I am a second year BA Geography undergraduate with a passion for confronting and tackling environmental issues. Environmental law is the career path I would like to pursue after my geography degree since it provides the ideal framework for addressing the complex and interconnected challenges posed by environmental issues. I see the role of the President for the Environmental Law and Life Science Society (ELLS) as an exciting opportunity to contribute to the environmental law and life sciences community by raising awareness and promoting engagement within this sector through the various organised insight events and socials. These are crucial for reaching a broader audience, connecting with like-minded individuals and establishing this society as a reputable source for life science and environmental law-related content. 

As the Social Officer for the ELLS this year, I have learnt a lot about this society and I have enjoyed the many aspiring events that have been organised, thus I would like to continue to contribute and represent this society through the role of the President of the ELLS. As an aspiring environmental lawyer, this position presents a unique opportunity for me to develop my leadership skills, build more connections and contribute to the vibrant academic and social community of our university.
