Ideate, Innovate, and Implement: my goals for next year as Vice President (Welfare Officer)

Hello! I am Sreejana Basu a 2nd Year BSc Cancer Biomedicine student and here are a few cool things about me:

• I'm active, amicable, and extremely dedicated! 
• I enjoy building startups and meeting new people 
• Creativity and leadership are my strong suits: so I'm always open to ideating. 

What I bring to the table:

• Was Marketing officer for UCLE (2023-2024) so I have a good grasp of things both admin and committee-wise! 
• Founded a successful startup (which is now part of OnDeck Incubator in San Fransico), so I enjoy innovating.
• Part of Nucleate undergraduate leadership team (backed by sponsors including Eli Lilly & Company, Benchling, and Schmidt Futures)
• Worked with several large biotech organizations!

What's New and how I aim to Implement: 

1. Expanding Network with Industry Professionals: Organising company visits and industry tours to provide firsthand exposure to different startups! 
2. Increased Diversity Events: Host workshops and seminars collaborating with other student organizations to co-host events that boost underrepresented voices and promote diversity.
3. Collaboration with UCL Innovation and Enterprise: Arrange more collaborative speaker events with startups spun from the UCL hatchery to connect students with alumni who have pursued entrepreneurial ventures.
