Being a part of this society as a first year representative has made me gain an immense appreciation for the work we do to enable our fellow peers to connect with each other and experience new opportunities. As treasurer my foremost priority will be to maintain the financial health of our society; by bettering our budgeting practices, monitoring our expenses and seeking new opportunities to increase our revenue such as sponsorships and fundraising initiatives, my goal will be to ensure that our resources are being allocated fairly and effectively in a way such to support events, projects and initiatives that optimise the experience for the members of this society. This role would be a valuable opportunity to build stronger relationships within UCL alongside professional connections in engineering industries and develop my own skills in financial management, budgeting and reporting.

I am deeply passionate about the values of this society and eager to leverage my skills and experience to enhance the experience for everyone involved in the upcoming year.

Hi, I'm Dylan and I am running for the Treasurer role in Engineering Society 2024! I've been part of the engineering society over the past 2 years and I'm incredibly grateful for the amazing experiences I've gained as part of the committee and as a member. For the past year, I've served as your Sponsorship Executive, and I would love to continue to be part of the committee next year as your Treasurer!

If elected, I aim to :

  • Always inform and provide financial advice to the committee so that they are aware of the budget limitation for each event, and make the best decision
  • Ensure all committee members have access to information about the society's financial position and provide feedback and suggestions for improvement.
  • Record all cash flows in spreadsheets neatly and clearly

It has been a great journey with the Engineering Society so far, and I would love to continue to be part of this community next year!
