Ashley Tsoi

Hi everyone! My name is Ashley and I would be honoured to be your UCLES President next year.

My experience as Head of Sponsorship this year has provided me with invaluable insights into how the society operates as a whole. Having worked closely with sponsors as well as all other teams including events, projects, and marketing, I was able to develop a set of skills that I believe will be instrumental in effectively leading the society next year.

As President, I hope to:

• Continue organising events with our existing and prospective sponsors to provide students with opportunities to network and explore career choices in industry while enhancing their skills to showcase to employers.
• Plan socials for students to relax and unwind when faced with rigorous academic demands. I am always open to suggestions, and examples may be games nights, pub crawls, holiday parties etc. Don't forget our annual Engineering Ball!
• Foster an inclusive community for all members from various backgrounds, whether that be through events, accessible communication, or collaborations with other societies.
• Ensure transparency across different operational processes and support committee members in difficult situations.

Ultimately, I have truly enjoyed being a part of UCLES and have directly experienced the impact effective leadership can have on our society's success and growth. It would be my pleasure to continue serving our community and driving positive impact for all members!
