Christine Tan

I'm Christine - an MSc Student in Prosperity, People and Planet at the Institute for Global Prosperity. My motivation to be more involved in the EA Society comes from - (i) the fact that EA very much aligns with my personal moral framework and values, and (ii) the desire to be more embedded within communities that strongly align with my values - both because of how much I can learn that I wouldn't otherwise discover on my own, and because I find a ton of comfort and hope in being in such a value-aligned space. 

I'd love to dedicate some of my time and energy this next year to create more spaces within our society that will allow for more in-depth personal exploration (i.e. of careers, cause areas, skills and knowledge, introspection), as well as community building (i.e. developing more meaningful connections between members).
