Hamza Mirza

Hey, Dodgeballers! My name is Hamza, and I'm a second-year Politics student running for the role of the President of the UCL Dodgeball Club. From a complete beginner in September 2022, I've competed in two BUCS seasons, Winter Regionals and the North England Open, and the experience has been phenomenal! But dodgeball is more than just competition for me. It requires a President who is motivated and enthusiastic to organise and invest time and effort in the club to ensure the members are able to enjoy themselves socially and even perform to the best of their ability competitively. I believe that I share the same passion and motivation as our current President to support all the members of the community in exceeding their personal goals at any and every level.

Beyond competing in BUCS, I've served as a committee member, bridging the gap between members and suppliers for kit & merchandise and welcoming new players. My experience in various part-time roles and at a law firm honed my communication and organisational skills, which are crucial for excelling as President. Participating actively in committee meetings as the Kit & Merchandise Officer gave me insights into effective collaboration across roles, from event finances (Treasurer) to social events (Social Secretaries). Joining the club wasn't just a highlight; it transformed my introverted self. Now, I'm grateful for the supportive community and want to maintain this cheerful culture as your President :)
