Diplomacy Society: Welfare Officer

Hi everyone, my name is Deniz, I am a first-year politics and international relations student passionate about joining the diplomacy team! I am running for welfare officer because I am interested in bringing members closer together, improving satisfaction, and forming better networks within the society. I propose: 

Development workshops – workshops in collaboration with guest speakers, focused on public speaking, discussion, and networking skills to build confidence and prepare members for a future in diplomacy.

Weekly events and collaborations – Organizing weekly events that complement society activities, such as briefings on historical/cultural backgrounds before embassy visits. I look forward to also expanding our network by increasing collaboration with different societies and universities. For example, planning weekly collaborative events such as formal dinners or pub nights for members to get to know each other.

Hearing Member Voices – Creating surveys to gather members' opinions on society activities and ideas/preferences for future events.
