Laxmi Thileepan

Hi I’m Laxmi and I’d like to run for DermSoc President! During my time as the networking officer for DermSoc, I have gained invaluable skills and experiences that have prepared me to take on the role of president. I was also able to reach out to a variety of Dermatologists who spoke at our Skin Synergy conference. We have also been working on a Dermatology Magazine that we hope to publish soon with many different exciting articles.

If elected as president, I am committed to building upon the incredible work our committee has already begun. This includes continuing the teaching series and fundraising efforts for the British Skin Foundation (BSF). Moreover, I am excited to set up a mentoring scheme that will pair our society members with experienced dermatologists, providing them with tailored support and guidance. I also plan to publish a quarterly magazine that will showcase the talents and insights of our society members, fostering a sense of community and collaboration.

Furthermore, I am dedicated to organising another successful year of the pan-London Skin Synergy conference, which has become a flagship event for our society. This conference will bring together experts, students, and enthusiasts from across the city to discuss the latest advancements and challenges in the field of dermatology.
