Being an editor for Delilah magazine has helped me express my creative freedom in ways that are educational, artistic and appreciative of all genres of music I've encountered at my time at UCL. While I may only be a first-year, I understand the importance of student welfare when it comes to producing great pieces of writing as well as navigating university life for the first time, and feeling comfortable and safe in an unfamiliar environment.

Time for some remorseless self-promotion- I have a variety of leadership experience under my belt- I've lead NCO a few times as well as various school orchestra, and I've performed in a blooms show with fellow musicians, while creating a relaxed and casual (but also professional) atmosphere with the rest of the ensemble (details on that can be seen in my article for the spring issue in 2024). I also have an ARSM on violin with distinction, so I can help out with some classical music related things in future editions of the magazine.

Furthermore, I have ALWAYS submitted my pitches, article drafts and image credits well before the deadlines for every issue of Delilah I have written for, as I am keen on being organised and dedicated to everything I do. If I am considered for this role, I promise I will keep a safe space open at all times, online or in person for students and staff to talk to, while making sure my contributions to the magazine are interesting, unique and engaging reads.
