Data Science Society: President

Hey guys, I’m Declan and I’m running to be your president for 2024-2025!! Come and hear my speech at Hustings if you want to learn more about why I’m the best candidate for the role. I will do my best to continue and improve the existing vibrant environment the society promotes, to foster continued growth and learning, (even for those not studying anything related to Data Science) and inclusivity for everyone in the DSS! Hi everyone, 

I’m Aditya and I'm running to be president of the Data Science Society for 2024-2025. 

Having attended most of the society's events this year, I have developed a nuanced understanding of its functioning. I now feel confident and ready to take on a new challenge by learning how to manage all domains of the Data Science society, including sponsorship, events, science and marketing. 

In addition to my hands-on experience with the society, some of my additional skills include: 

Sound networking skills: With a large LinkedIn network consisting of individuals from all over the globe, I would be able to publicise the DSS whilst also bringing in sponsors and event speakers.

Leadership experience and teamwork skills: Having served as president of the CS club in High School, I know how to lead and collaborate with others to achieve desired outcomes. 

The ability to hear all voices: This skill would allow me to take on everyone’s ideas and perspectives to help the DSS reach new heights. 

My main goal, if elected, would be to help optimise the output of the DSS to fit different audiences, ensuring there is something for everyone.
