Hello! You may know me from my video with TwoSet violin (teaching two violin dudes how to play the chinese guitar in 10 minutes...). As much as I love having fun with music, I love having fun by nerding out with my friends too, with research! Hence, as president of Connect.Ed, I hope to expand the reach of Connect.Ed and establish ourselves as one of the leading research think-thanks at UCL. Here are some tangible policies that I've been thinking about!

- Increase reach and presence: regularly publish blog articles – giving members more opportunities to express their views (have you ever wanted to pursue a tangential rabbit hole while researching in your groups, but never quite had the opportunity? Here it is!) Publish blog posts as printed newsletters to be distributed around schools.

- Work experience: allow mentors to bring selected mentees on work-experience programmes, allowing them to get a glimpse in a day-in-life of postgrad researchers. Beyond mentors, I also hope to link up mentees with professional think-thanks / researchers for internships.

- RMP socials for mentees and mentors to bond together! Research is so much more fun when you have people you love doing it with you. These include activity-based (e.g. skating) to card games (e.g. WNRS). By creating opportunities for 1-on-1 interactions, this allows mentors to also serve as career advisors.

Overall, I'm standing because I hope to share my love with others, and create a nurturing space for all to grow!
