UCLCMC has provided me with experiences and friends I would not have found anywhere else at UCL. I really got involved with the club a year ago with my first time climbing outdoors on the Costa Blanca trip and have since fell in love with all things climbing.

As a president, I would want to enable as many people as possible to experience the same by encouraging people to take advantage of the gear and knowledge the club has to offer to plan trips with fellow club members. Despite having not held a committee position previously, my experience serving on the advisory board to our current supreme leader has provided me with all I need to know about running a happy and competent committee.

Current members know that there is a whole lot more to the club than just climbing and trips - we spend more time "socialising" than climbing. I'd want to continue to keep the club open and accepting of everyone. Climbing is a sport that no matter who you are, if you like climbing, you'll get on just fine.
