As members of UCL Christian Union, we share a common goal in providing opportunities for students on campus to hear and respond to the Gospel, a fantastic way we do this is through events!

I am passionate about creating a welcoming and safe environment for everyone to attend the society and I am keen to set the tone through a diverse range of activities during our freshers events week. I have personally grown so much as a member of the Christian Union and I would like to extend this opportunity for growth through organising a weekend away with a theme reflecting an area our CU might benefit in receiving some support  and encouragement in. To achieve this I aim to provide clear opportunities for members to provide their input into which theme we explore on our weekend away. I hope this also encourages a strong sense of community within CU and an opportunity to reflect on and consider the best ways to achieve our goal to provide more opportunities for students to hear the Gospel, as we prepare for events week. I think re-introducing the Mark Drama would be a fantastic edition to our next events week, and I am keen to build on the knowledge of previous events secretaries and use my previous experience in organising events for both the Christian Union and Surgical Society at UCL to make this and the other ideas I have for the growth of our CU a reality.
