Will Telling

I think that I have helped create a culture of mutual respect in meetings and ensured that as lots of new members have had opportunities to perform. I would love the opportunity to extend my work with Ben and place the Graters at the heart of the UCL community, both culturally and digitally. Attendance and sketch submissions have been higher than last year and I think this has been a part of my work with Ben in establishing an open, collaborative culture. 

With a year’s experience running sketch meetings and directing shows, I think that I can help push this society to beyond the constraints of Mully’s Basement Bar. I have learned that we can put on high-quality shows for a low cost and believe that we should be more ambitious with our venues and collaborations. 

I also think that the Graters need to evolve and develop our online presence. Creating short-form sketches online would help build links with other creative/media societies and produce high-quality content. I believe this could significantly help with promoting shows, especially if we get the opportunity to perform at larger venues.
