Jessica Hemington

Hi I'm Jessica! This is my second year being a member of UCL Lightening and I would love to be involved more in the Lightning community for my final year at uni.

Kit & Merch officer would be a perfect role for me since I'm passionate about fashion & design. I have always been in charge of the merch design for school events, dance groups, and choirs that I have been part of in the past, and I've always loved the role!!

I started my own clothing line last year, which involves not only the designing, but to digitalise designs, checking the quality of the clothes, good communication with the printing companies, and financial management skills as well. This has definitely made me comfortable with the process of making clothes:) My full-time job as a receptionist has also trained me well on communicating with businesses and individuals.

As a Kit & Merchandise Officer, my aims will be to;

- create merch designs that the team will want to wear :)

- getting the merch out as soon as possible so we can all wear them more during season!

- well-organised and smooth ordering of the bows and uniforms 

- organising the renting/swapping of uniform/bows 

- creating good quality merch, but lowering the price as much a possible to make them affordable to everyone

It would be such a wonderful experience to be a part of the committee and contribute to UCL lightning using my creative side!!
