Catholic Society: Treasurer

As a member of the Catholic Society since my very first week of university, I believe it is not only my desire but, indeed, my responsibility to give back my services to a community so strongly devoted and welcoming as this one. Combine this with my zealous inclination towards mathematics and administration and it seems the role of treasurer appears the perfect complement for my passions and ambitions. This appears to be an opportunity that at once encompasses both my talents and capabilities but also my personal yearning to take a more active role within the Catholic community at UCL.

I hope to demonstrate some ability that would be well-adapted to the role I am pursuing by considering my own studies. As a BSc Economics student, administering efficient resource distribution is not only an interest of mine but a pursuit that I engage with on a quotidian basis. I am thus rather well equipped towards dealing with numbers at all sorts of levels – from the most rudimentary calculations to the more complex data analyses. To aid my proficiency in this field, I have amassed considerable experience with worksheet applications such as Excel, as well as programming languages such as R and Stata. It is my intention to adopt these skills in a context that can make a tangible difference to a community I hold very dear.

Conclusively, I hope to demonstrate how, through my passions, abilities and commitment, I feel I would make an adequate candidate for the role of treasurer.
