I have benefited extremely from the Buddhist society this and last year! I have found Buddhism through this society and it changed my life. I would love to give back to society by being a welfare officer- looking after the conditions for well-being in society but also further cultivating our Sangha (Buddhist community) and spiritual friendships and facilitating space where people can learn about the Dharma!
I want to embrace the diversity of the society. Make it a place for people to share, practise, learn about and experience Buddhism- and it does not matter if you were raised in it or if you are exploring it for the first time.
(And I promise I am going to bring tea for our breaks at least a few times! : ) ) (Or at least try to)
