Amin Nabhan

Having spent two years as a member of UCL BJJ, I cannot say how proud I am of how far we have come as a club in such a relatively short period. 

In those two years, the committee has become more familiar with the student union and realistic time-frames for projects we have in mind. With this information, I plan to work with the rest of the committee to continue to foster the community we have created at UCL BJJ by putting on more events and providing more opportunities for competition. 

Additionally, I plan to alter the ticket purchasing model we currently operate under, making it more consistent and more accessible to book classes. 

My initial plan for the 2024/5 academic year would include:

• At least one intervarsity open mat style 'rolling social' in the first term 
• An internal competition-style event, also in the first term
• Additional kit sales in the first term

• Hosting our intervarsity competition in the early second term
• More support for our members who compete independently
