I believe in the importance of fostering a supportive and inclusive environment within the boat club community. With my previous experience in rowing, I understand the physical and mental demands of the sport and how if those well-being needs are not met it can become a very unpleasant and unhealthy environment; I want to ensure all members feel valued and supported. It would be important to me to implement initiatives promoting mental health awareness, organise support systems for members facing challenges, and facilitate open discussions on well-being, ensuring a safe training environment. My previous involvement in rowing puts me in a position to empathise with members' concerns and effectively address their needs, hopefully ensuring a supportive environment. I’m passionate about creating a tight-knit community where every member feels valued and supported, both on and off the water.
