Biopharmaceutical Society: Social Secretary

Hi! My name is Amelie, and I'm a first-year Biological Sciences student. I'm excited to run for Social Secretary of our Biopharmaceutical Society.

In my high school years, I served as the student representative, where I honed my event management skills by organizing school social events, such as a Christmas ball that was met with resounding approval. I meticulously planned and coordinated the decorations, food, and activities, ensuring an enjoyable experience for all attendees. Additionally, I orchestrated a talent show, managing the logistics from catering to seating arrangements and coordinating with numerous performers. These experiences have endowed me with the skills necessary to execute large-scale events, and I am eager to bring this expertise to our society. Furthermore, my tenure as President of the Environment Society and as Swim Team Captain has instilled in me robust leadership and communication skills pertinent to the role of Social Secretary.

I aim to channel this rich background into our society, organizing events that blend our shared academic passions with ample opportunities for relaxation and networking.
