Annliya Mathew

Hello! My name is Annliya, I am a 1st year medical student excited to be running for events officer!

I have been a member of the society since starting university and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to play a part in running it.

I have always enjoyed delving deeper into ethical topics and I believe discussions in this area is the best way for us all to learn and especially learn from each other.. During my time at school, I ran a healthcare newsletter and coordinated with various fellow students to help promote the field and encourage younger students to take an interest. I have been a first year representative for the Malayali society and I believe this experience has helped me develop skills needed to run and organise well-planned events that will be valuable for all the members.

If elected, I promise to work hard with the other committee members to organise amazing events, collaborating with other societies and inviting various guests to ensure us all having valuable learning experiences and continue to be inspired by those the community around us!
