Saran Kaur Thiara

Hi everyone, I'm Saran and I study Economics! From a young age I have always loved Bhangra, from doing it at weddings and parties to recently having the opportunity to perform at Rangeela which was an amazing experience. Bhangra combines my love for Punjabi music and dancing and lets me feel even more connected to punjabi culture. 

Being part of the Bhangra team and an FYR has given me the experience to take on a leadership role on the core committee and I feel I would be the ideal candidate for treasurer. My background in Economics means I am confident handling finances and budgeting and am dedicated to organising great events to build team spirit. 

Witnessing my progress from the start of the year to watching our Rangeela performance was extremely rewarding and I would love to be able to see others achieve the same and develop a love for Bhangra!
